Read Exes to Lovers: A Remarriage Journey By Colette Drake Chapter 18 – Drunk and Jealous
“Okay, I’ve told you everything I know. I’ve helped you so much. Are you going to treat me to a meal?”
Clyde wasn’t eager to have a meal, but he loved to have a meal for free.
Theodore glanced at him indifferently, and Clyde seemed to feel a chill on his neck.
“Never mind. You don’t have to treat me. Let’s drink together tonight and get as drunk as possible. I’ll find you any woman you want.”
When it came to women, Clyde couldn’t stop talking.
Compared to accompanying Clyde to drink in a bar, Theodore preferred to invite him to lunch.
“Let’s go to a restaurant.”
As expected, this trick had never failed.
Clyde followed Theodore, eagerly expecting that Theodore would take him to a fancy and expensive restaurant.
However, Theodore didn’t even drive a car and chose to walk. Obviously, he was looking for a restaurant around.
Clyde wondered if any surprise was nearby when Theodore stopped in front of an ordinary-looking restaurant.
Although the interior looked good and the environment was tranquil, this place seemed like it didn’t even have a decent chef.
Clyde’s eyes widened. “That’s it?”
Clyde wasn’t picky, but this place was indeed not worthy of his identity.
Theodore was so stingy.
The girls who admired him might cry a lot when they knew that their Prince Charming was a stingy man.
Oh, well. They might also praise Theodore as diligent and thrifty because they would still admire him no matter what.
Clyde pursed his lips and walked inside. Theodore chose to sit by the window, and Clyde sat opposite him. As soon as he sat down, he looked at the seat behind Theodore, and his eyes lit up immediately.
“Look! Isn’t that your ex-wife? She is eating with another man.”
Clyde nodded in a direction, and Theodore saw a familiar figure.
Loria was talking with the man opposite, and her slight smile made Theodore’s face darken.
It turned out that she could also smile so brightly in front of other men.
Theodore could clearly see the movements of the man opposite Loria.
He handed her a napkin and poured her water. His actions were so natural, as if they had been together for over a decade.
They talked about something else, and Loria’s smile became even brighter.
The leaves outside the window swayed, and their shadows reflected on her flawless face. She seemed incredibly beautiful which made
Theodore stunned slightly.
This woman… seemed to have changed a lot.
Theodore somehow felt annoyed.
This woman was never short of men, and it was so disgusting that she pretended to love him five years ago.
He couldn’t stand to look at them, and he became increasingly annoyed.
Theodore wanted to destroy her smile and this harmonious atmosphere.
He didn’t mind her smiling at another man, but he found it necessary to help that man escape from this vicious woman.
Theodore got up and walked toward Loria.
Under Clyde’s astonished gaze, Theodore had already stood in front of Loria’s desk.
“What a coincidence.”
The familiar voice, the familiar face, and the familiar sneer.
Loria noticed that she could literally meet this man everywhere.
“It seems you’ve found another man in such a short time.”
He looked at Loria coldly as he glanced sideways at Colby.
This man had a bookish look, and he seemed gentle. However, he seemed to have nothing impressive except his handsome face.
Everyone could notice the provocation in Theodore’s words.
However, Loria didn’t take it seriously. But she wanted to mess with him since he had already come over.
She ignored Theodore.
Then, she smiled slightly and talked to Colby in a sweet voice.
“Honey, are you full? If you are, let’s get out of here. This place… smells pretty bad. It really affects my appetite.” She covered her nose as
Colby might have been lost in her affection if he didn’t know that Loria was acting in front of Theodore.
He clenched his fists inadvertently, but he was still rational.
“It does smell bad.” He put down his cutlery and also stood up. Loria stepped forward and took his arm.
Colby held her hand under Theodore’s gaze..
Loria was slightly stunned, but she reacted quickly with a smile and entwined her fingers with Colby’s.
“What do you think of this restaurant? If you like it, we’ll come back next time when there’s nobody around so as not to affect our appetite.”
Colby dotingly agreed.
The intimacy between the two only made Theodore feel like he shouldn’t be here.
He didn’t dare to look at their hands that were tangled together as if something had stabbed him in the heart.
This woman seemed to have two personalities.
“Lora.” Theodore grabbed her arm. “Or should I call you Loria? Let’s talk.”
“Talk? I’m swamped right now. If you want to talk with me, make an appointment with my assistant.”
Theodore couldn’t believe her words. He wasn’t used to such an attitude. Others were always rushing to make an appointment with him.
and he had never made an appointment with anyone else.
