“A*shole ex-husband. Very well.” He thought in his mind.

“I can’t stop laughing. I didn’t expect your ex-wife to be the daughter of the Peters family. Her name is fake. No wonder you can’t find her

for so many years.”

Clyde sneered mercilessly, which made Theodore very irritable. “Have you laughed enough?”

Clyde knew his temper best. Hearing this tone, he knew Theodore was about to get angry, so he quickly stopped laughing.

“Okay, let’s get down to business. Do you want me to investigate your mysterious ex-wife?”

Clyde’s father was the mayor of Kintoy, so he had many connections and was well-informed. And the Peters family happened to be in Kintoy. Even if Theodore was powerful he couldn’t find the detailed information as Clyde.

On the other side, Loria and Greg made an appointment at Cerro Restaurant in Kintoy at 7 p.m. It was only 6:30 p.m. when she arrived, but

Greg was already waiting inside.

There was no one else in the private room except for them. As soon as Loria entered. Greg stood up and walked over. He held Loria’s hand

and looked up and down.

“Loria, come here. You’re back. You’re finally back!”

Loria dropped her pretence at this moment, and tears filled her eyes. “I’m sorry to let you worry about me for so many years.”

“It’s okay. As long as you are alive, I’m relieved. Your parents should rest in peace.”

Loria sat down with Greg. He paused for a while and then asked again, “Since you are still alive, why haven’t you come back these years? I

haven’t even heard from you. Where did you go? Did you get into any trouble?”

Greg was a shareholder who had helped her grandfather start the business at the beginning. He was an old friend of her family. Later, her grandfather was overworked and passed away soon after starting the business.

After Loria’s father inherited the company, Greg had always been assisting him, and he was her father’s best helper.

Thinking of what Greg had done today, Loria was quite moved.

“Greg. I’m sorry to trouble you for so many years. I wanted to come back, but the timing wasn’t right.”

Greg’s eyes filled with tears. “Silly girl. As long as you’re safe. But what do you mean by timing?”

“I was still young when my parents passed away, so Uncle Ives had to take care of their inheritance. All these years, his family had to

pretend to be nice to me to gain the employees’ trust.”

Loria paused, and her eyes became deep. “But don’t you think it’s strange? Everything was fine before, but I had an accident when I was

about to get back my parents’ inheritance on my 18th birthday. Was it a coincidence?”

Greg seemed to understand something. He wiped his tears and frowned. “You mean… Ives was the one behind that accident?”

“That day, Aunt Trista called me and said that Uncle Ives had booked a villa for my birthday, and she asked the driver to drive me there. But it was a rainy day, and the road was slippery and bumpy. Somehow, there was a car accident. Fortunately, I survived by being hung on a tree branch after falling down the mountain.”

Greg slapped the table and stood up. “If it was Ives, then he wanted you dead!”

Loria remained silent. Both of them knew very well that Ives wasn’t stup*d, so he wouldn’t leave any trace behind. Not to mention that this accident had passed for so long. Even if they called the police, they would probably make Ives alerted because they didn’t have any evidence.

“You have been away for so many years. Have you been recuperating?” Greg felt very distressed.

Loria shook her head. “I’m fine, and I wasn’t seriously injured. I’ve been away to make them defenseless by feigning death. Now that Ives has been in the company for many years, many employees have been replaced by his men. It’s not going to be easy to get the company

back.”

Greg sighed helplessly. “The company was fine when you were the heir. After your accident, Ives became the legitimate heir of the company and almost replaced all the experienced employees. Now, he even bought off those snobs of the board, and they didn’t want you to come back.”

Even if Loria returned with three contracts, she could only be the vice president for the time being, and her position wasn’t secure.

“I had been well-prepared before I came back. I will take back what belongs to me. Since he could replace the employees, we can do the

same.”

Seeing Loria’s confident appearance, Greg smiled in relief. “It’s good to see that you have plans. I’ll try my best to help you.”

…It was past 8 pm when Clyde arrived at Cerro Restaurant.

Seeing him coming, the manager hurriedly reported the expenses to him. Clyde listened absent-mindedly, and after a while, he was attracted by the figure coming down the stairs.

He smiled playfully as he watched Loria send Greg out. Before getting in the car, the two even hugged each other. Clyde immediately took out his phone and snapped a photo.

However, he had no idea that the flashlight had exposed his sneaky action.

Loria noticed the bright light and frowned. Then, she saw the stup*d man standing in the yard and felt annoyed.

“Loria, is he… your friend?” Greg asked.

Loria shook her head. “No. You shall go back, Greg. I’ll call you when necessary.”

After watching Greg leave, Loria walked back to the yard. Clyde hadn’t noticed his foolish mistake and was squatting on the ground while looking at the photo.

Someone came to him and blocked the light. He raised his head impatiently. “How dare you…”

As soon as he finished speaking, he met Loria’s beautiful eyes. His heart sk*pped a beat, and he subconsciously hid the phone behind him.

Loria reached out. “Give it to me.”

“What?” Clyde pretended that he didn’t understand.

“Sneak shot is immoral.” Then, Loria sneered. “Oh, right. How could a playb*y have morality? All you can do is go to the bar and pick up

girls.”

Clyde was displeased. “You can’t say that. I…”

He suddenly felt dizzy before he finished speaking. The next second, his arms were locked firmly behind his back, and he somehow knelt

on the ground.

After Loria grabbed him, she sn*tched his phone, clicked on the photo album, and deleted the photo immediately.

“You! How dare you beat me! Let me go!” Clyde’s face was flushed in pain.

The manager and a few employees were also at a loss. This man was the beloved son of Mr. Bradley. If anything happened to him, they wouldn’t be able to bear the consequence. This woman was too tough!

After confirming that the photo had been deleted, Loria put the phone back in his hand and pushed him to the ground. Then, she clapped

and flipped her light brown hair sassily.

“Don’t forget to turn off the flashlight when you sneak a photo.”

Clyde bared his teeth in pain and couldn’t get up for a long time. When he realized it, Loria had already driven away in her limited-edition

sports car.

Seeing the red sports car disappear, Clyde got up angrily and kicked the lawn.

“Sir? Do I still need to report the expenses?” The manager hesitated for a while and asked.

“To hell with it! Sign me up for a kickboxing class!”

Soon, he suddenly thought of something. He rolled his eyes, and a wicked smile replaced the anger on his face.

He took out his phone and sent a message to Theodore:

“I just ran into your ex-wife dating an old man in a restaurant, and she hugged him when he left. I tried to sneak a photo, but I was caught. Your ex-wife is so vicious. She even hit me!”

Theodore, who was on the plane, frowned after seeing the message.

It sounded impossible. He remembered that Lora was weak and slender, as if she could be blown away by a gust of wind. How could she

beat Clyde up? He was way taller and stronger.

Looking at the starry sky outside the plane window, Theodore’s eyes became deeper. Lora… Loria… Who are you exactly?

Loria had no idea what Theodore was thinking. After leaving the restaurant, she drove back to Shoal Castle.

Every girl wanted to be a princess when they were young, and Loria was no exception. She was luckier than other girls. In order to make her dream come true, her parents bought a mountain in Kintoy, where every inch of land was expensive. Then, they planted peach trees all over the hill and built the Shoal Castle at the foot of it.

The castle was named because she liked to play with water when she was a child, and there was a beach in front of the castle, where the

sea was not far away.

When the castle was built, everyone in Kintoy knew about it. They all envied Loria, the beloved little princess of the Peters family.

Afterward, her family moved into Shoal Castle and left the Peters Mansion to Ives’s family. This castle contained many of her wonderful

memories with her parents.

However, the good days didn’t last long. After her parents died by accident, she returned to the Peters Mansion to live with Ives’s family.

The car stopped at the foot of the mountain, and Loria walked up slowly. The memories that had been almost sealed came back to her mind. She used to love walking with her parents on this path full of peach blossoms after eating.

She still remembered the scene of every season in this castle. The spring was green, the summer was pink, the autumn was golden, and

the winter was white and flawless.

She stepped forward and soon saw the familiar castle. The castle’s main gate was supported by two huge, gorgeous columms with

exquisite murals.

Going further into the gate, there were five huge conical turrets, and their Gothic pinnacles seemed to be able to reach the clouds.

When she saw the garden in front of the castle, Loria’s eyes instantly turned cold. It was once filled with her favorite cosmos, but now they were all replaced by red roses.

She walked over and picked off a flower gently. The sharp thorns cut her fingers, and she couldn’t bear to look at the red color of her blood

and the rose.

At this time, a woman’s voice came from behind. “Miss, this is Ms. Nicole Peters’s private castle. You cannot enter. I’m sorry.”

Nicole? Loria turned around and looked at the woman in front of her. “Nicole’s private castle?”

The woman nodded. “Yes, I’m her housekeeper. The security guards are changing shifts, so they probably had let you sneak in. I’m very sorry. I still need your cooperation to make compensation for this rose.”

Loria sneered. She had been away for years, and it seemed like Ives’s family had made all her belongings their own. Even this castle had become his daughter Nicole’s property. It turned out that shamelessness remained In his family.

“Compensation? I see.” Loria threw the rose on the ground and walked towards the castle’s main entrance.

“Miss, you can’t go in. Outsiders are not allowed to enter. If you refuse to leave, I will call security.”

Seeing that she couldn’t stop Loria, the housekeeper called security. “Come to the garden at the entrance. Somebody broke in.”

Soon, several men in security uniforms rushed over, took out their batons, and were about to attack…
