As soon as Lillith finished speaking, she realized she had said something wrong and hurriedly explained, “Loria, I didn’t mean that. I just think Yvonne is not a patch on you. Mr. Franklin must be blind.”

Loria smiled slightly and started the car. I also think he is blind, or he must be nuts.”

Only that reason could explain why he fell in love with Yvonne.

“Let me treat you to dinner to celebrate that you finally regained your shares and successfully became the vice president of Peters Group.”

This morning, she stunned everyone and got back her shares. She joined the board of directors and even became the vice president, which was much smoother than she had imagined.

As the company had been under the control of Ives for many years, all the staff were his people. It was not good for Loria to directly take the position of president, lest her position might be grabbed again.

“I have an appointment tonight. I’ll send you back to the shooting site. I’ll contact you when I’m free.”

Lillith nodded and didn’t say anything more.

Theodore sat in front of the big window at night with a computer in front of him, but his mind had already drifted elsewhere.

Thinking of what happened after Lora came back, he always felt confused.

Clyde called at this time.

“I’ve checked it. There is no assistant named Lora around Wade. His assistant is always Andy. As for your ex-wife, she is really something.

I can’t find any information about her.”

Hearing this. Theodore frowned instantly. “What about Wade’s identity as Liquor?”

“This is what I’m going to tell you. Liquor is a well-known gold finger in entertainment. Every TV series he invested in is very popular. He is also the head of the jury for many awards and has several famous top artists. It can be said that he is a mysterious businessman who is

well-known in the entertainment.”

Clyde paused and added. “But the strange thing is Wade has never personally invested in any films or TV series. He doesn’t even have a business in entertainment. The only thing that can prove his status as Liquor was the Peony Awards Ceremony not long ago. He voted down your girlfriend with the identity as Liquor.”

Theodore’s eyes became deeper. Could it be that Liquor was someone else? What was the relationship between Liquor and Lora?

Theodore had many doubts in his heart. He hated this feeling of being out of control.

Clyde didn’t hear his reply and said again, “As for your ex-wife, I really can’t find any news about her. Do you have any photos? Maybe it can

give me some clues.”

Only then did Theodore realize he didn’t even have a picture of Lora after they had married for two years. Thinking of the reports that were often on the hot searches these days, he opened Facebook and found a picture of Lora and sent it over.

Clyde clicked on the photo and immediately raised his brows. “You are lucky. Your girlfriend is more beautiful than the other, but…”

“But what?”

“She looks familiar. It seems I’ve seen her somewhere before.” Clyde turned on the computer and clicked a few times. Then his eyes instantly widened.

“Look at the hot searches on Facebook. Is it your ex-wife?”

Theodore immediately opened Facebook and saw the hot searches ranked high were very popular, which even covered the news about

and Yvonne at the Peony Awards Ceremony.

“The daughter of Peters Group came back after her death and rapidly became the vice president.”

“The

aughter of Peters Group is alive?”

“Packs of high-end gifts for the reborn heroine.”

“The daughter of Peters Group is Liquor’s assistant? Their relationship becomes more confusing.”

Theodore felt his lips trembling. He quickly clicked on one of them, and there was a photo on it.

It showed Lora’s imposing manner on Peters Group’s board of directors. In the photo, she was more radiant and confident than at the awards ceremony. Her aura seemed to have overwhelmed everyone.

Theodore scrolled down the page and saw a video interview, which was the video of Lora being interviewed by reporters after the board

meeting.

“Ms. Loria, where have you been for the past seven years? Are you planning to take back Peters Group after coming back?”

“Ms. Loria, may I ask why you haven’t returned to Peters Group for the past seven years? Is there any special reason?”

The reporters’ questions were sharp and harsh, but Lora was calm and composed. She kept a faint smile and only responded with a few

words after a while.

“This is just the beginning. We have a long way to go.”

Then she wore sunglasses and drove away in a red Ferrari under the gaze of everyone. Theodore was stunned by her careless and wild

personality.

“Ah, I remembered where I saw her. It’s in the bar today!” Clyde remembered and jumped up.

“Bar?” Theodore’s voice was deep.

“Yes, when you called me in the afternoon, I saw a pretty girl at the bar and wanted to accost her, but she said I looked like her a*shole ex-

husband.”

Clyde suddenly felt something was wrong and couldn’t help but sneer instantly. “If it’s really her, then isn’t the ex-husband she said are

you?”

Hearing the laughter from the phone, Theodore’s face was extremely dark.
