Broken Vows Second Chances by Gwen Hayes By Gwen Hayes Chapter 63

Chapter 63

Elizabeth paused for a moment. She didn’t know how to answer Grandma Hart’s words.

She kept silent but looked at Max.

She and Grandma Hart were sitting in the back row. They had already seen Becky. Max was in the driver’s seat, so he had

noticed Becky.

Besides, Becky was his beloved woman. His attention was always drawn by her.

As Elizabeth expected, Max slowed down the car immediately and stopped at the gate of the villa.

As soon as the car stopped, Becky walked over with the bag in her hand. She stood beside the car and knocked on the window of

the

passenger seat.

Max rolled down the window. Becky gave him a sweet smile and said in a very gentle voice.

“Max, you finally came back. How is Grandma Hart? Although you told me not to worry, I still want to see her in person. So I came here without telling you in advance.”

After speaking, Becky casually glanced at the back seat. She didn’t see Elizabeth in the passenger’s seat, so she guessed that Elizabeth was in the back seat.

Just now, she was pleased when she found the passenger seat empty. However, in the next second, she saw two people in the

back seat.

One was Elizabeth, and the other was…

When he saw clearly who the other person was, Becky’s smile froze.

It was Madam Hart!

Becky was shocked. She thought, “How Madam Hart is here?”

Becky originally wanted to show off and gave Elizabeth a slap in her face. When she found Madam Hart in the car, what left in her mind were shock and upset. Her smile froze. She stared stupidly at the back seat. Becky thought, “Will Madam Hart misunderstand what I said just now? Will I leave a bad impression on her? Could it affect my progress with Max?”

While Becky was in a daze, Madam Hart was also looking at her with doubts in her eyes.

Elizabeth calmly explained, “Grandma, don’t you remember her? She is Becky, the savior of Max. She had saved Max’s life

when she was a child.”

Hearing this, Madam Hart finally came to her senses.

“Oh, it’s you, Becky! You’ve grown up. I am sorry I didn’t recognize you just now. Don’t be angry with me.”

After recognizing Becky, Madam Hart’s tone became warm. She treated Becky politely.

Becky shook her head and smiled sweetly, “Grandma Hart, you are so polite. How could I be angry with you because of such a trivial matter? I felt very guilty that I didn’t visit you when you lived in a nursing home. I was very busy when I went abroad. Please don’t be alienated from me. I am very sorry, Grandma.”

“I had asked Elizabeth about your situation before. I never dreamed I could see you so soon. Good girl.”

Becky glanced at Elizabeth and wanted to say something, but Max looked at her.

“Get in the car first. It is cold outside.”

At night, it was cold outside. Becky was wearing a thin dress. When a gust of wind blew, her face became pale.

Her lips trembled a little. Max felt a little distressed.

Becky shook her head with a smile. Her nose was a little red from the cold. “It’s too late, and it is not appropriate for me to go in. I won’t go in. I heard that Grandma would have an operation, so I came to see her. Since Grandma is well, then I will take a load off my mind. I have to go.”

She didn’t get in the car but stood in the cold wind and slightly shivered in cold.

Elizabeth looked thoughtfully at Becky’s dress. After seeing her true colors that day, she felt that Becky came out dressed like

this on purpose.

Elizabeth guessed that Becky was very anxious when she learned that she and Max could not get divorced for a few days, so she deliberately wore a flimsy dress and came to see Max at midnight.

But Becky didn’t expect to meet Madam Hart here.

Just now, she stood at the window outside and intimately said those words to Max.

Elizabeth didn’t bother to think about the things between Max and Becky. She hoped that Grandma Hart’s condition would not be affected by the two of them.

It was dark and cold outside. Max would not let Becky stay here alone.

For fear that Max would say something to Becky, Elizabeth took the initiative and said to Becky, “It’s not too late. Get in the car first. It’s cold outside. It happens that Grandma is at home today. You can have a chat with her for a while. I will ask the driver to take you home later.”

She invited Becky in a calm tone.

Becky glanced at Elizabeth. She didn’t expect that Elizabeth would invite her. But she figured something out and nodded.

“Okay, thank you.”

After that, Becky walked to the rear door and sat in the back seat.

Elizabeth sat next to Madam Hart since she had gotten in the car. She sat in the middle seat. There was still an empty seat beside her. Becky had a slim figure. When she was sitting in the back seat, there was a short distance between her and

Elizabeth.

After getting in the car, Becky greeted Madam Hart enthusiastically.

Seeing Becky didn’t sit in the passenger seat, Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, Becky was not stupid.

“Becky, you are a good girl. Thank you for coming specially to see me.” Madam Hart was very polite to Becky. They talked

softly.

The car drove into the villa and stopped in the garage.

The servants prepared a wheelchair and pushed out in advance. As soon as the car door opened, Max got out of the car and came to pick up Madam Hart, and carefully placed her in the wheelchair.

Elizabeth went to Madam Hart and pushed the wheelchair. Becky got out of the car. She looked at their backs and this harmonious scene. She unconsciously clenched her dress. There was a cold light in her eyes.

But soon, Becky suddenly released her hands and put on a gentle smile as if she had figured something out. She walked behind them.

Lincoln was very happy to hear that Madam Hart would come back. When he heard the sound outside, he brought the servants to greet her at the door.

However, when Lincoln and the servants saw Becky behind Madam Hart and Max, they were all stunned.

Many of them even looked at each other on the spot.

But they were servants of a rich family, so they had good professional qualities. When Madam Hart approached, they all smiled and bowed to her.

“Welcome home, Madam Hart!”

Everyone was very enthusiastic. Someone even prepared a short program and showed it to Madam Hart on the spot.

When Madam Hart was not in the nursing home, she saw many kinds of performances at the national level or the world level.

But after having a boring life in the nursing home for a long time, she even felt that the servants’ performances were also interesting.

Elizabeth stood beside Madam Hart. When she saw the smile on Madam Hart’s face, she also unconsciously smiled.

Seeing this scene, Max felt a little surprised. After a while, he also smiled. He turned to ask Elizabeth in a low voice, “You arranged it?”

Elizabeth shook her head when she heard his voice. “No. Lincoln arranged it.”

“Good.” Looking at Madam Hart’s bright smile, Max felt happy. He nodded and said, “Lincoln is always thoughtful.”

“Of course. Not everyone can be the butler of the Hart family.”

Max didn’t speak, but the slight smile revealed his emotions.

Becky was standing behind the two of them. Because she didn’t want Madam Hart to find her relationship with Max, so she deliberately kept a distance from him.

But even so, she could still hear Elizabeth and Max’s whispers. The two of them were both good-looking. They were wearing dark clothes today. When they were standing together, they looked like a perfect couple.

However, Becky seemed to be an outsider who was standing beside them at a loss.

She bit her lips and clenched her fists. There was a hint of anger in her eyes.
